I'm gonna have to agree with the bredren. I feel there is no justification of humans being treated as chattel on any level. I feel any ownership of one being for another is all the same thing, the humane treatement of one vs. another is really the degrees to the illusion that slavery can be justified. On that subject, I also don't agree with the owning of wives. I don't feel a woman should be treated as property as well. Some customs that the ancients practiced, with the evolution of free thought, in my opinion, were not condusive to ones inalienable right to enjoy life in total autonomy, barring acts of injustice that merit rights be taken away as a form of punishment.
