I read recently that Potatoes were a known poison to the Maias, and they gave it to the Europeans in an atempt to kill them...but they liked the poison.

I also read that the Tobacco plant leaves and roots has the capacity to atract plutonium 210 from the air and soil.

I know that the American Indians smoked to "talk with the spirits" or to celebrate piece in a piece pipe. I was speculating if tobacco wasn't another attempt to poison, instead of revealing what they were really smoking.
