Just a note, I believe the post from G.G. Maragh is an excerpt from Leonard Howell's THE PROMISED KEY. I think Maragh was also a pseudonym Howell used. Leonard Howell is widely regarded as the first man to preach the divinity of Haile Selassie. At any rate, the quote reflects Howell's thinking circa 1930- since then ideas have evolved and changed. Now ya don't have to agree with him (I don't), but you have to overs where he is coming from. He probably never met no white person that treated him as an equal, so why wouldn't he fire burn the whole a dem? Opinions are (hopefully) based on experience and (hopefully) will cahnge when the experience changes... Bless.
