the UN and associated partners, when investigating atrocities will most likely glaze over the root causes of the conflict, namely the centuries of colonial exploitation which rent asunder tribal relations and flamed the fires of older inter-tribal conflict.

we do not know the full extent as to what is fanning the flames of this genocide in this area and I think we should keep in mind that the western powers NEVER let go of the need to control the area.

am i saying that the africans should be left off the hook in terms of responsibility?, OF COURSE NOT -- i am saying that things like this do not exist in a vaccuum and it is ridiculous to assert that what is happening now is not related to what has happened in the past.
