Give thanks for the post. So many ones, black and white, wear locks without knowing. Even if your reasons for wearing locks are different than mine, as long as you know their history and significance, and your reason is righteous, you're ok by me. It's too bad that there exist gun-toting, dope-dealing young men in the black community (or any community) to start with, and it's made worse by the fact that they've co-opted a traditionally upful look as part of their lifestyle.
