Re: Western Arrogance at best!
In Response To: Re: Western Arrogance at best! ()

greetings

ras rootka is a black man
do ones in your lifespace sis bantu have to be only dark skinned to be called black in your world
perceptions of people based on skin color alone within a race of people is just as racist as if a white man had made the statement.
i appear to be a white woman
and my family hid the fact that we had black in our family for years and years and years
they would still, though professing to be liberal in their thinking, would still be more comfortable hiding it.
i am made up of three different races
i acknowledge all of me
it is wrong in my humble opinion for you to continue bringing up color classifications within a race of people and implying that they are not as black as a dark skinned person
of course some light skinned people would like to hide who they are or be distainful of darker skinned peoples and perhaps stick their noses up at them, thinking that they are better than their darker idren and sistren
this not only comes from babylon thinking, but in the way they were brought up
it is like the color caste system in jamaica that exists to this day
it is like the people of color in new orleans
it exists everywhere and it is unfortunate
rootka is a black man
from the island of st croix
and to dis him like you did is presumptuous and wrong.
he was just stating that so much energy is spent on black, white, chinee, hispanic and so that the works are not getting done and that the biggest focus in oour faith (rastafar I) should be on family, works, livity, and HIM
horrific things have been done to many races throughout history
afrikans
jews
immigrants
american indians
japenese
the list goes on
i feel it is our raponsibility to spread the words of HIM and do works to stamp out these problems and to fight oppression in any way shape or form
to call my idren out like that bantu truly deserves an apology
