Ayinde, dont forget that the essence of RasTafari is Haile Sellassie 1 and the jesus bit came in with the regilious zealots who hardly want to remember the struggle of the black race.
Haile Sellassie 1 is always the reason for RasTafari. That was His first name before He was coronated in the most ancient order of kings.
Why the move to exclude Him?
I recommend that many Afro centric ones who choose to block HIM out, read more about His lifestyle and His books that are part of His legacy.He truly deserves more respect among many Africans. Even if you are not inclined to RasTafari as a way of life, it is essential to overstand why so many Africans have gone to that direction; the persistence of the Jamaicans elders and those who came after.
