Re: Light Skin Versus Dark
In Response To: Re: Light Skin Versus Dark ()

bless up rastafari

first thing i am beginning to see the problem. the topic was light skin vs dark skin and then all of a sudden it moved on to other things and not light vs dark. a month ago i reasoning on this topic was very racist seen. racist i a say because of ignorance. this topic has caused i many many nights since ayinde first posted me a tell you hard thinking. hard because i believe we dont really pay attention to what the i said. i reread the article again and again and again. me a tell you many nights of iditation. one thing i a see today is the article was truth. iman dont care how many dark skin snakes are pointed out because if you pay attention i&i mention the same ones. a handful. that nah make it. when i really sit down and think bout this, it really is plain to be seen but i&i not looking. i recently had a talk wit a couple of darkskin women and not until we talked had they paid attention either. this i see as the biggest thing a gwan. to many blacks believe that if a black was elected president we would finally have made it. no. integrity of the individual is what should matter but due to the colorism a gwaan nuff dark skin brothers and sistas dont even get to put their integrity and ideas into the debate. due to colorism and other things blacks are not taught to look to integrity in choosing or following leaders anyway. integrity gets put aside for bling bling, red bone, way a person dress or how good they articulate themselves etc. basicly a light skin black can reason wit a darkskin black and gain a whole heap of knowledge seeen. the two of them can come forward and the world will not give the dark one the ability to lead. the light one will be pushed forward not because he is smarter but his complexion and bility to articulate the dark ones reasoning. most people wouldnt know that the light ones knowledge ends wherever the last reasoning ended. so then everything he do from that point forward could be folly sight. now this is no way means that every light skin is this way but i&i know this happens. so because it happens its a problem and the scales if truly looked at is very unbalanced. black people iman not trying to tell any one how them should think but i&i blacks should start talking to black people about this and you may be very surprised at wha gwan straight. that was i believe the real purpose for the willie lynch letters being released was that anytime topics like this are put on the table instead of truly reasoning this i&i just point to it being lynchism(i own words). because selassie i is light dont make it either. same way iman dont see the importance of food selassie i eat how selassie i live in his physical life in ethiopia has anything to do with i&i going by H.I.M. name. i&i cant hide behind that, i&i have to still live in our experience and i can still sight selassie as being the almighty but i dont have to say well selassie was left handed so now i must train i self to be left handed. lets reason about the title of the topic because it truly is of great importance to black salvation world wide. so as long as colorism exist i cant look at watts and say see him dark and look at how he is because iman can say planno if known by the black masses would be able to articulate racism better than bob for real. but babylon wont push planno because them dont think they can pull his strings. but they will put say an alan keyes up for i&i to follow. this is also the reason i sight so many nah rate emmanuel.
