Re: HELP! ON OurStory

Greetings Queen,

Good to sight di I among us again. Your wordsound is always appreciaLOVED. As far as Dr Ben is concerned…I have read most (if not all) of his works, and had the immense blessing to meet him. In my experience, he has always been very clear about the Adam and Eve MYTH. Anyone who has studied his works would KNOW that this Elder/Teacher knows the difference between what is SYMBOLIC and what is LITERAL. I would be very interested to sight where (and if) Dr. Ben ever referred to Adam and Eve without mentioning the biblical myth aspect.

Having said this, I find it destructive for us to highlight the few things we may disagree with, while ignoring the GREATER TEACHINGS. For example, Dr. Ben has written some things about His Majesty that I do not agree with, but does this mean I reject all the other CRUCIAL teachings Dr. Ben had dedicated his life to sharing with the Afrikan Collective? Or does this mean that because the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey also said certain things about His Majesty which we may not agree with, that we should discard all of Garvey’s teachings? Of course not!

We must learn to wisely discern what is presented to InI, to separate the wheat from the shaft. We must learn to weigh what is presented to InI against the Feather of Ma'at, no true?

In regards to the other reasonings you presented, I would recommend reading “Stolen Legacy”, as well as “African Presence in Early Europe”. Both will go into great detail about the Afrikan-Greek connection.

Blessed Love unto you Sistah,

ROOTS
