This issue may appear trouble some, because it is a matter which took place hundreds of years ago, but most things which took place even thousands of your ago, are written and recorded in so many ways, which is well known as historic records. Now there is no doubt that the history of the so called Maroons, and their betrayal of their own African people, can be found in the many histort books at the UWI, are in the mental faculties of the students and scholars of The University of the West Indies. The fact that the so called Maroons activities, of being great warriors against the British slave masters, and then turn around and help the same British slave masters to enslave their own people, took place right there in the Island of Jamaica.
Can the UWI Scholars and Faculty members tell this International audience at Rastafari Speaks, what is the origin of the word Maroon, and was there an original Tribe in Africa which was called Maroons, which was abducted from Mama Africa, in shackles and brutalized across the middle Passage to the slave plantations of the western hemisphere???????????????????????????????
Are was the name Maroon imposed upon the Coromantee, Ashanti and Akan people, who were abducted, from what was called the British Gold Coast,(now Ghana) and were taken to Spain, as early as 1441 or before, and some of them were later taken to Jamaica, by the Spanish people, is this a true part of your historic records?
I have been reading these things in history books over the past fifty years, and I am wondering, whether your scholars and faculty members are in a historic position to verify, whether these are true historic facts, or just the figment of the imaginations of all these historic writers all over the world, including your own faculty members. We are trying to restore the so called Maroons with their original African names, since the name Maroon is stained by them betraying their own African people on the slave plantations in the Island of Jamaica.
Maroons No No No.
Coromantees, Ashanti and Akan Yes Yes Yes yes Yes.
Take the best care of your self and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
