I do believe I am being fair. What would be unfair, is for me to expect the same tribal/cultural empathy from you. Our natures and our cultural experiences are quite different, making it almost impossible for you and I to identify/react the same way to any given situation. Even if you were Female you would still be White and if you were Black you'd still be Male; and those are just our natural differences.

Our 'natural' differences and preferences are too often neglected in this quest for integration and assimilation; recognizing our differences doesn't mean I respect you any less. There is dignity in all humans who maintain and uphold the requisite standard of human decency.

Don't over analyze this. Many of my male friends still believe Mike (Tyson) and Kobe (Bryant) were set up, just like there are many Clinton supporters who still believe he was set up, Hilary be damned, and I could go on. But the truth is, our fingers of accusation point in so many directions because the set up argument is a Phantasma.(media, political opposition, invisible hand, etc.) Meanwhile the real victim points in only one direction.
