I would say that ones ability to govern the sovereignty of their own body is what I would consider a universal human 'law'...or perhaps Lore. This should not be violated.Peoples right to respect ones sovereign ownership of their bodies seems a fundamental right. To NOT be harmed and to decide their own destiny in the same harmlessness...hence, no killing, rape, physical abuse.
There are some small discrepancies with not killing or physical violence that are obvious... such as self defense, but that is another story.
Other forms of abuse that are obviously agreed terms(in definition, law) such as verbal abuse and other kinds of mental psychological abuses, threatening ect. carry a level of general acceptance, perhaps not adherance, but acceptance, none the less.
The beleif that women and men should be separate at certain times(womans cycle)is something that I dont see as a definate demonization of the female or male or absolute tell tale sign of 'subjugation'....I personally dont live by the pre-supposition of this kind of separateness, but none the less, these kinds of beleifs dont seem to consistently identify subjugation...as far as I can see it from this point in life experience. The possible separateness of women from men in menstrual period based on the BELIEF that the woman is 'unclean' is something that is a beleif of superiority and therefore subjugation. Some would say that 'unclean' as a defintion is interpretive but I cant say that I buy it. My two cents.
