Re: Colorism: The Hierarchical Nature of Skin Tone

Bless up KaribKween

This, in response to your post

To I,
The affects of "Colorism" is fed by this assumption,
that what someone possesses,
from skin-tone and intellegence
to material things,
relates to their self-worth, value,
and overall position...

As we both know, highly intellectual individuals,
can be disloyal, deceiving, without integrity, and the cause for much corruption in the world.
Just as much as a marriage can be miserable regardless of the level of intellect the married couple may have!

Evident that these possessions are not the indicators of "better off" in the world nor in relationships!

I think "they" (I use the term loosely) are afraid, especially of a Black Man who is of the view that,
he doesn't need to possess nothing more than what his Creator has given him already! Mental or physical things cant add nor take away from him.

This is a man you cannot sell anything to!
Hence an individual, color-hierarchy and representations,
that cannot be controlled!
