Yes Ras, Getting the land would be good. The question is what are we going to do with it differently than what we are currently doing in the diaspora with the land we now have access to.

I was hoping to hear about particular on-going projects in this meeting or even concepts and ideas of such projects. Presenting a book of signatures to the queen while being diplomatic, will not bring about reparation or repatriation.
The powers that be only understands power. They will only take the book and forget about it.

The Rastafari Movement needs to empower itself with economic and industrial strategies that will give us that powerbase and stop waiting and hoping for handouts from the former masters. It will never happend. We will only get the crumbs off the table which apparently is keeping some of us in false hope.

Why are we not following the example of Marcus Garvey in building sustainable self reliant industries within and around our communities. He did it in Harlem during the UNIA movement over 79 years ago. Why are we not following the example of Haile Selassie in how he continued the work of Emperor Menilek in introducing modern development into Ethiopia. HIM did it over 79 years ago before he even ascended the throne.

Whenever Rasta people gather I always hear about philosiphy and religion, I never hear about developement and wealth creation. The phylosiphy should lead to practical solutions, otherwise it makes no sense.

We have been spinning our wheels for tha past 79 years and not putting our finger on the button. The first thing we MUST do is feed ourselves. Let me hear about the ital organic farm run by Rasta that is providing wholesome food to ourselves and the general community at large. That there are value added products comming out of this farm. That the farm is running off its owne wind and solar power and selling back electrical power to the national grid. That the farm has it's owne independent water irrigation system that the surrounding communities may benifit from. That this same farm has a research and development department looking into crop improvement and new crops and products. That the farm will seriously look at the industrial applications of the cannabis plant which we are so fund of, for food, clothing, shelter, medicine and fuel for future sustainable growth instead of the current one dimensional approach to this plant, to light up only.

This farm will then spring several satalite industries which will generate employment to the Movement and the surrounding communities. From these initial stages we can seek to progress from the cottage type industry to a truly international level. We can then transfer these technologies and techniques to the motherland. We don't have to wait however it can be an ongoing process in both places.

What are we waiting for Rasses, There is a time and place for everything. We have been chanting for 79 years, I don't say stop but reduce it or suspend it and move on to other areas which we have neglected for the past 79 years.

Africa awaits it's creators, we are the creators, so we have been told but we have not discovered this as yet. No one will discover this for us but ourselves. If we had we would have been a thriving philosiphical, industrial, econimic, sustainable, empowering movement to africa and the world.

We have work to do breathren and sistheren, let's get going, lets hear that Bobo is manufacturing the best quality floor sweeping impliments and floor mats and selling them to China and Japan. Let us hear about that farm.
