Under normal circumstances of good Government with moral and respectful conduct, if there is a piece of land which are inhabited by people, who are living on this land as their home with their families, and for instance the government decides that they want that piece of land for social and community development, then the proper thing to do, is to inform the masses of the people who are living there, that they will have to be relocated at the cost of the government, and the government should find other lands for the relocation of these people, and pay the cost for the relocation of these people who's lives would be disrupted. It has been rumoured that that the local government in the Shashamane area of Ethiopia, has taken the law into their own hands and are violating the principles laid down by the Federal Government of Ethiopia, as it relates to Rastafari people who are living on the Shashamane land Grant, which was given by Emperor Haile Sellassie I.
We are hoping that the Federal Government of Ethiopia, will not sit by and allow, the Local Government in the Shashamane area of Ethiopia, to continue their erratic and violent behavior, against peaceful Rastafari people who are living at Shashamane land settlement, in the great land of Ethiopia the land of our fathers and mothers.
If the road which is planned to be cut, is running through the homes of Rastafari people at Shashamane Ethiopia, then the proper thing to do, is that government should stand the cost of relocation and relocate these people in a rational, moral, honest and respectful manner, since they are people and they are supposed to live some where. We are hoping that the Federal Government of Ethiopia, will not allow the tail to wag the dog. The journey of life continues. Take the best care of yourself and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
Baba Ras Marcus.
