***…Any other talk about an apology without total liberation of African people, is nothing but empty words…***
Thank you Baba Marcus for your writings and for sharing your vision and lived experiences
The basis for western systemized oppression has been largely dependant on cold shoulder denial by whites who behave with an ‘along for the ride’ indifference which was 'perfected' in the system of White Supremacy. It is a system which transversely entices the entire global population through the influence of capitalism and the want of the produce (mostly garbage) which was previously reserved for the dominant culture. This plague includes the conversion of socially responsible citizenship and into a vast sea of distracting consumerism which in turn becomes intertwined with "popular opinion" for every group.
I overstand the falsity of apology without action. I would ask does the ‘total liberation’ mean that all black people will be liberated by white political elitists or whites as a monolithic group at large? What about those ‘careless Ethiopians’ who resist the notion of their present bondage? Aside from the white role in working towards the aforementioned goal, what does total liberation look like in relation to the internal mechanism of the black mind/irit/essence and inate progress and uprising of the black individual/collective? What if the whole white system crashed tomorrow, if trillions of dollars which are owed to Africans were paid, if comprehensive African centered education became an overnight staple of the diasporic masses, would that amount to the ‘total’ liberation?
