I wonder if you read my post on Norway; 'Best country to live in..." I know for a fact that the social hierarchy of Norwegians begins with the children. Children come first, then women, then men, contrast that to the number of homeless children in America. I use America because it is "developed/civilized" the number for disenfranchised children in the rest of the world is stupendous.

Until we the people begin to think outside ourselves we are destined to go up in flames like all 'civilizations' before us, who achieved a certain level of comfort and fell in love with that level of comfort refusing to give up the ghost, long after time had rendered it irrelevant.

Its like we discussed before in the post on healthcare, the first to die is education, and American schools have been failing to regenerate its base for decades, thus destroying its own future.
