Rastafari Speaks

Re: Polytheists/Monotheists etc.

Well, I meant 'monotheistic' in the sense that [to my knowledge which I'm not saying is fully correct] a lot of the Plains Indian tribes looked to a singular 'Great Spirit', 'Tunkashila'/'Wakan Tanka', similarly some of the Amerindians in Guyana to my knowledge looked to a singular deity 'Makonaima' who represents good/positive and a sort of devil equivalent 'Kanaima' who represents evil/negative... other spirits and entities involved as well but those were the ones that would be translated as 'god'...
Again, I'm not saying I'm an expert, I could be wrong.
I don't know much about any explicit connection between the Aryan [as in the invaders of ancient India] conquering-minded caste-division polytheistic mindset and the Semitic [as in Middle Eastern/North African] conquering-minded chosen-people monotheistic mindset but maybe you know more in that regard.
Anyway I don't have time to fully engage these complex issues right now so will forward another time. Give thankhs for responses.
