peace and hotep,
selassielives, this is only the beginning of sorrows. this whole 'war of the words' began withe me began withe one insidious remark:
"Many have always sought to discourage serious debate on Colorism. It was light-skinned ones (blacks) who set up systems to deny darker-skinned Blacks. It is ignorant for those who consider themselves light-skinned, brown and even dark-skinned Black to impute reverse racism (just like whites do), when the discussion of light-skinned insensitivity and unsuitability for leadership comes up.
A well-informed and sensitive light-skinned person will still never know how the system impacts on a dark-skinned kinky- hair Black person. You regularly say, "He who feels it knows it." As such, when the sensitivity of people is awakened through conscious development, people can only continually feel to the depth of their sustained experiences. In that regard, no lighter-skinned person (however awakened) can know more about how the system negatively impacts dark-skinned kinky-hair Black Africans on a continual basis than an awakened dark-skinned kinky-hair Black African. A conscious dark-skinned kinky-hair Black person IS more sensitive to the abuses in the system than ANY other type of person. '----ayinde
