Re: To which I reply
In Response To: To which I reply ()

I have not taken anything out of context. I am used to your ongoing attempts to claim you are superior to others. Now on this thread you are using other means (other than what can be proven or reasonably discerned) to claim such superiority.

One of the examples of your anti-peasant attitude is there in the quote I gave. I was correcting you on how you were calling others 'peasant', implying it was an insulting term. You responded with that quote, among others. That was clearly anti-peasant, as it sought to demean the people based on a false understanding of their way of life. Of course, your claim to Royalty could be why you took on that European aristocratic attitude towards peasants.

You presented the cold demands you made to your mother. After I pointed out how distasteful it was, you quickly turned it around to claim you were sending funds home to help your family and a Rastafari community. I told you then: "I don't know your personal family situation and grievances, but I will play bold and suggest that you move from that hard-line position in relation to your mother, as you may not really have a superior understanding to her."

I also told you back then: "You did more than brought up that issue with your mother. You give a type of hard-lined stand about not giving your mother one cent until she does things your way. I usually see that attitude from people who were abused by their mothers, or ungrateful children who have developed superiority complexes, and then view their parents as backwards."

You did give us an idea of the type of Zimbabweans that reside in the UK. I want this to be remembered, as I will develop on it later.

You demonstrated ignorance about race as opposed to other ethnic considerations. Knowing an African language did not inform you there. The fact that many Africans on the continent have other ethnic considerations to define themselves (in the west too) does not mean an absence of racial understanding. What you defined was not race, but another form of ethnic socializing.

There are Black Africans in the Diaspora who have White families, and how inheritance is passed on does not deny race and or racism. Race is one of the major divisions of humankind, based on having major, distinct physical characteristics.

You did not bring your nonsense to I about you being superior based on your ability to speak an African language. You presented this 'theory' to Djehuti.

You NEVER ASKED I anything about what languages I speak. You were clearly trying to imply that you are more African than Djehuti because you speak an African language. 'Africaness' in terms of how we address issues based on experiences following Slavery and Colonization can only be about Black Africans' general awareness of African history and contemporary issues. You have not demonstrated that you possess any superior abilities based on being able to speak an African language.

You said:
"Interesting. I always assumed the reason I saw light-skinned Black Americans on television was that there are no "pure" Blacks any more."

~ You were either being sarcastic or foolish by making this statement.

You said: "What is patronising is the assumption many media people make that African audiences are not ready to see African people on the screen. We heard that a lot in Zimbabwe...."

~ This statement is unbelievably silly.

You said:
“You haven't answered my question; can you speak any African language at all? A simple yes or no, I am not going to put you on trial."

~ Since this is the first time in your sly way you are asking about what languages I speak to satisfy your unusual measuring stick for Africaness, I will not indulge you there. I never claimed to be a superior African, so there is nothing for I to be on trial about. It is you who have to prove your claim to being a superior African based on being able to speak an African language.
