peace and hotep,
iyah360,
"If the God of Israel is an INIversal reality and not a cover for a political identity, then perhaps I can find the God of Israel in any religion if I and I care to look."
iyah360, you must agree that is a big IF.
the god of 'israel' is the god of the hebrews. the hebrews and hyksos are 'sin'onymous. both occupying the same space at the same time. nothing in nature as most know it, truly 'coincides'.
the god of the hebrews and the god of the hyksos is the one egyptian god of war, seth.
iyah360, you know the tree and the fruit it bore. the fruit is never-ending war. 6000 years of war unending. the birthdate of adam, eve and seth, circa 4000bce. the gods(neteru) of civilization versus the singled out 'god' of barbarians.
the god of barbarians forbids its adherents the pursuit of the knowledge of good and evil(such knowledge is the tree of life), forbids the serpentine symbols of wisdom, demands blind obedience disguised as 'faith' and outlaws 'thinking' period.
the god of barbarians rewards its subject with fear, allusions of mercy, spiritual nakedness and the well deserved status of happy slaves who wage war on others to secure their own peace, whose freedom is maintained by enslaving others and whose strenght is sole product of worshipping ignorantly at the feet of the barbaric 'god' of war.
