True True Kamau,
But you'll remember.. as far as the current runnings in Rasta goes... these words of Selassie I was "Supposed" to tell black peoples that we are not supposed to judge whites based on the color of their skin.
If it were up to white "rastas" and plenty of their black bredren.. then most all these words that HIM stated was to be thrown in Black peoples faces to remind us that it is "we" blacks throughout history who have judged the others based on skin color, etc., etc.
Or at least, this is what they would have you and/or I believe...
But as sistah Roots would say... Babble on Babylon!! Babble on!!!
A few of us throughout history have been about strength, courage and wisdom for our peoples. Plain and simple. No worries and no fears, just truth and rights.
Fortunately, for us, truth is standing All Alone, Upright and by herself; clear and plain for everyone to see. She speaks of the crimes against humanity from centuries before. Some chose to forget because forgetting makes it easier to deal with their everyday crisis. Give thanks that the few remained firm in the knowledge even when those around them crumbled under the PRESSURE!!!
