Greetings Brothah,
Take heart. As you have seen, when the black man pronounces his viewpoint on whites based upon what the black man has seen and INsperienced with his own eyes, the black man is admonished (by black and whites) to keep his peace, to not carry hate, to work to alleviate his "harsh" feelings within. Rather than seeking to alleviate the cause of your "harsh" feelings, ones prefer to silence truth.
I would add that BALANCE is the key. Many within Rastafari, have chosen the EASY road of saying that since they have seen and known and worked with, and mostly SLEPT with, one or two whites; they are no longer "angry" at the gross evils against the HUMAN RIGHTS of the Africans perpetrated by Whites. It is easier to just love with all blindness and appreciate every smiling white face. It is also easier for some to rather point out the black man/woman's faults before pointing out whites faults.
We know that plenty Black man/woman have chosen to lie down with evilisms... NO DOUBT. Yet when we deal with Africans shituations worldwide... which begin from simple fear, distrust and dislike of Africans based on physical differences, that is a primal evil that has never yet changed. (As we've seen now "Rastas" also say they still notice these physical differences first and foremost when they sight a black man). Whereas we Africans have not been prone to notice the differences so much, but were forced to out of self-defense.
Many shall fall by the sword in these times; black and white, due to slackness and fear of taking an uncompromising stance in support of their own black peoples.
I would only caution balance. Know that you can "get along"/"work with" ( professionally, tc.) with some whites who know and accept what has been down by their own to your own. You can be human with them, yet when and if you had to make a choice, you would be able to KNOW that if heads must ROLL, then you have no fears nor hesitation on which side you stand.
Never let them shame you into standing up for what is yours. Blacks nowadays are too prone to be weak and give in and give up what is rightfully theirs; all for the sake of "Can't we all just get along"!
Takes to much energy perhaps for some to maintain balance and NOT feel like they have to kiss AZZ just because a white claims he sights Rastafari.
Blackness everytime!
