In Response To: Re: To Bantu-Kelani (Bantu-Kelani)

It is hard to stress the movement as a Black struggle when many white Rastas have black Rasta friends who allow them to believe in color-blindness. It is almost like a backup for the white Rastas need to ignore the issue of race and how they play a part in it directly.

I think it is also hard when white Rastas get their idea of Rastafari from living in the states and have not visited the culture from which Rastafari emerged, i.e. Jamaica and reasoned with those who are more at the roots of the movement.

This is perplexing in a way as it requires a lot of self-work, but if one is not motivated to do it, then it will not happen.

I could use the common used phrase "many are called but the chosen are few" but I feel this could be taken as elitist and it is not something which I wish to play into because I feel it IS possible for their to be overstanding on the part of white Rastas.
