I as well have heard this numerous times. I did not think twice about it because there are so many complexities to the life of Haile Selassie I that many Rastas do not seem to want to face, i.e. eating Swedish meatballs, drinking wine, being Orthodox Christian etc.

Question for the forum: how many founding Rastas (in this manifestation, i.e. Leanord Howell) were masons?
