No need to repost it, I think others can understand the mix-up.
I also do consider it laughable although they might be well intended. Any time I see a group that is part of the oppressor group showing solidarity with the oppressed and publicly soliciting funds, I become quite suspicious of their motives. I see this with Israelis on the Internet that are opposed to their government’s policies towards the Palestinians and they are also soliciting funds to expand their cause (so they say).
Well I wonder who decides what is best to do with those funds collected in the name of the victims? Are they the ones who are going to determine who are the best victims to give a heap of funds (if they ever intend to do that)? What are they expecting in return other than peace of mind in the knowledge that they are doing the right thing?
Well these questions have not been thrashed out so I will not take it seriously until I see that they are handing this over to a progressive African group. Whites who support the reparation movement should work and do many other things to advance such a cause, but to form a group in that name and solicit funds is out of order.
Informed Blacks and no others should manage the whole concept of reparations to Africans, especially when it comes to money. As we know money is one of the main weapons of the oppressors. Of course I am not saying that they cannot do as they wish, but I will not take them seriously.
