A gendered God?

I'm currently in it with my queen over my use of the pronoun "He" to denote JAH, and that I think of him in masculine terms. She's spent a lot of time working to show others that God doesn't have to be thought of in paternal, masculine, terms, and she is pissed at me. I'm trying to explain to her, "Hey, this is my faith. It's what I believe, and it's unexplainable."

But the question I pose here is, do ones think of JAH as gendered? If so, what gender? If not, why not?

Raspectfully,
Joshua
