No Whitewashing of Critical Issues

" This is not to say that racism, wolf in sheep clothing, and colorism and all these things are not real and not worth reasoning on, but I feel I man energy is better spent moving forward in a positive way"

Until people realize that reasoning on these issues positive (even though it may be uncomfortable to many), then will remained mired in these subtleties that they never had the foresight or courage to work on them. Because racism, sexism, and colorism run so deep in the society, it is emotionally challenging for many to deal with, so they do not understand that overcoming such issues is integral in spiritual development/Rastafari.

Dispite the misconceptions of many, people can't unite in the absence of fundamental truths. Ignorant people can only attain superficial unity for eg, thousands of people marching and singing...ask them to do anything more than that, and it is confusion. So if masses of people want to say Selassie name and talk bout unity, they could do that whole day, but anything more will be confusion, because they haven't work out their own personal dramas. In earlier times i thought that i could unite with a lot of rastas, we would pass each other and show each other with platitudes and rethoric. But through experience, i realized how superficial that was, and that not much could be acted on after that, because after reasoning with many i realized how much we differed after we got past that fancy talk.

So it is most clear to be that ignorant people and conscious people could never achieve unity. Likewise ignorant people can't achieve unity. So what is the solution? True unity can only be founded on truth, and unless people realize the importance of working out male arrogance, racism and colorism to their own spiritual development they can't offfer more than delusional platitutes of peace, love and unity to the ills that plague the world. Unless whites come to terms with the extent of their privelege the most they could do is to be patronising of anything African/Rastafarian.

The denial and attempted whitewashing of certain issues takes place on different levels. Some say no, this is nonsense, stop this racist talk completely. Others are more subtle and say well yes there may be some truth in there, BUT let's reason on morre positive, uplifting, non divisive things other than racism, sexism, male American arrogance and colorism.
