My stance has always been positive in dealing with bredren and sistren of all race and nationality. Rastafari is about unity and upliftment, and while some see this as naive, some would also say veiwing black nationalist issues as if they existed in a bubble as naive also.
This is not to say that racism, wolf in sheep clothing, and colorism and all these things are not real and not worth reasoning on, but I feel I man energy is better spent moving forward in a positive way. I man have spent alot of time on these subjects and you know what? I have come to learn something.
While there may be "white priveledge" in this world. While there may be evil racists in this world. While there may be light skin egos and such, those who enjoy the priveledge are now SUFFERING from it.
Why do we aspire to be treated as Babylon equal? Babylon suffers from diseases of its own excess. Babylon is miserable. Them need drugs like prozac to keep them mind up and viagra to keep other things up. Them depressed. No matter how much money and priviledge and golf them enjoy, they are not happy overall, and statistics constantly prove this. They search, but can't find. They are hungry ghosts who can never be satisfied. They are always at war. Their families are falling apart. They don't know they children. They are ruled by corporations and mass-advertising. They believe lies they whole life. They have pain inside. They die of cancer and heart attack from they corrosive diet. They exist on ignorance and hate. Is this the "white priviledge"?
You see, the GOLDEN AGE of man happened a long time ago. When Africa was a land of KINGS AND QUEENS. When there was GREAT cities, culture, and knowledge. When the Native cultures of the world lived in tune with nature. We are just living in the dark times. It is hard to view ones life as simply part of the historical timeline, but thats what a gwaan. We live in the time when the Earth's righteous children are scattered and evil is the rule of the day. But things will turn arond as they always have. How long do you think Babylon can eat up resources before its arteries close and die? We are in dark times, and Babylon is dying as a result of its own greed.
This is not to say we shouldn't fight and reason. No, we should confront the multi-headed beast whenever it shows it dutty self. However it is uplifting to realize that Babylon, with all there dirty racism, imperialism, and filth, is choking itself on its own pollution.
