diyouth, I don't really understand what you are trying to say. It seems like that you don't really know what mental enslavement is about, the adoption of an eurocentric paradigma. Of course, like I said before, there are always people who were born in the gutter but will make it to the top of society regardless, and there are people who were born in royal families who end up in the guther: some time ago I saw a documentary of an English twin who were related to the queen of The Netherlands. Their ancestor was a rich aristocrat who got bankrupt and had to sell all his property.
But I'm talking about the internalizing the eurocentric paradigma. Growing up in a society where 'all' people are Black provides the Black child with roll models: when you grow up in Nigeria and go to the hospital you will see that all the physicians are Black, all the nurses, all the teachers at school are Black, the president, the secrataries of state, all the engineers who drill the oil, etcetera. Most professional people you see around you look like you, so you might be indoctrinated in school that you have no history, but still you see that Black people are capable of becoming professionals.
In the days of old we didn't speak European languages who indoctrinate us with inferiority complexes: just by speaking a European language you are made to feel inferior: all words related to Black are negative, and most words related to white are positive, so just through speaking a European language you are internalizing this European paradigma, this inferiority complex.
In the days of old we didn't worship white gods, but nowadays we worship this white Jesus, Jesus or God is (supposed to be) the most superior being known within the realms of the universe, and this man looks like the slavemaster, which makes you think the slavemaster is closer to god than you.
In the days of old we knew the history of our Ancestors, altough it was through word of mouth, but we knew it. Nowadays were learn about the great deeds of the ancestors of the former slavemaster: any person who did something important, from Aristotle to Einstein, was white...An besides that, when you as a Black child grow up in a predominantly white society like England, the Netherlands, France, the U.S.A., etcetera, most of the professional people you see will be white, that's why many of us start to think from an early age that we amount for nothing. You get it?
Of course, in the days of old we didn't have no books, but we didn't internalize no European paradigma neither, like I just have shown. It was a totally different situation.
It has been shown that many of us will advance when they know our history, and especially people who grow up in the diaspora must know their history. Of course there are exceptions, people who know their history but still go the wrong way, but I talk about most of us, you like to concentrate on the minority.
It's gona take bravery to stop (mental) slavery!
