There would be no Rastafari without RAS (ancient Coptic for wisdom), which evolved to mean Head, and RASTA (a state of consciousness), and others have pointed to a translation in the Egyptian text that spoke of entering the House of Rasta. (The book of the dead is one place to look as pointed out by rootswoman but some translations differ on this) However, I have other history books that explained it but I cannot check that right now.

I reasoned this several times on these forums, and others did not challenge it. Now the website is Africa Speaks/ Rasta Speaks/ and Rastafari Speaks, and people are entitled to their different interpretations and even Blind Belief, given that some are now bent on distorting the original written purpose of the boards. The board covered Rastafari, which included Rasta and African teachings. Now the intention of the boards is clearly spelled out.
