Re: should africa accept genetically modified food

Greetings,

I have always had my suspicions about GM foods. Just like so many other things Babylon develops, they are to quick to use it and gain from the profit before knowing about the safety of it.

Look at how many harmful things they have distributed to their own people. They first tell the people that it is safe and it hasn't been proven to be dangerous. And after a few years pass and people die, or children are born deformed, they just say, "Oops, I guess it is not as safe as we thought". It's too bad for the victims of their mistakes.

About a year ago, I talked with a Genetic Engineer to find out more about genetically modified foods. He described one method that is used to insert genes into another plant. They take a leaf, for example, and shoot it with these microscopic particles that have the replacement gene sequence attached. So some of the genes enter into the cells of the leaf and replace a gene sequence that is of a similar structure. They then grow the cells. As the cells grow, they separate the ones that display the change that they were trying to achieve, and then they continue to grow these cells into a full plant.

The problem is that Babylon isn't technologically advanced enough to only change one aspect of the plant. They use a gene sequence that contains the property that they want, but this gene sequence also has other properties that change the modified plant. When they grow the plant, they test it and if they can't detect any other changes, they just assume that the other changes that the gene sequence made are insignificant, and they say that it is safe. But in reality, they don't have the slightest idea what those other changes are, they only know that the changes aren't visible to them. So I am sure that those "insignificant" changes will prove to be very significant in the future, and we will hear another "Oops". And this "Oops", may be the worse "Oops" humanity has ever seen.

Also, they have the capability to genetically modify a plant, that can change the hormone balance in people. So they can make people more angry, more relaxed and calm, insane, and several other effects. Just look at the effects of different hormone imbalances and imagine if a people can change this balance by feeding you a tomato.

Jah warned I and I about this a long time ago.

Leviticus 19
19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee.
