Please don't turn this into a debate about Putin. America and the western media is demonizing him solely because he spoke out. He offered resistance.

* I understand that, I get it and I agree. Just making a larger point . .. history shows that peoples better have a method of self-defense and bargaining chips when convenient friends find their fortunes change in the world and friendly arrangements - real or imagined - no longer are in the party's self-interest.
