A person's attitudes can become his or her best friend or their worst enemy. The way we speak to people and the way we act with people, are care- fully observed by people, and have has a lot to do with whether we get along with them or not. My nieghbours all around me where I am living are black people, but none of them are Rastafari people, as a matter of fact some of them goes to church and others do not. We wave and say hello to each other from time to time when ever we run into each other. They park in front of my gate when ever people park in front of there gate, and there is no contention about parking or any thing like that.
When ever there are surplus know on the side walks and in the streets, we are out there with our shovels clearing the side walks and the streets together, to make easy passaage for our people. And yet I do not go to their house and they do not come to my house to sit on the porch and talk or drink beers because they know that is not my style. If they need me for anything, they come to me and if I need them for anything I go to them and tell them what I need.
About nine months ago, a tree which was in the front of my yard by the gate, a high and strong wind blow off some branches in the street and accupied the parking space in front of my gate, so I left since I had to go some where, it had also broken down my fence, and to my surprize, when I can back, my fence was fixed, my nieghbours from acoss the street and another, repaired my fence while I was away. I eventually paid a tree man to cut down the tree since it could fall again a smash people's cars, and that could cause a contention which I do not want.
Then, in the recent storm, a tree in my back yard blow down and fall over my next door nieghbours fence, and I had to get another tree man, this one is a Rastafari person you may know him, he used to play key board with Ras Pidow, but now he is in the tree business, since life is always changing, so, he went into my nieghbours yard and cut down the tree and I paid him what he asked for and that problem is now solved.
Now some people would have make a quarel our of this issue, by saying that it was the storm that blow down the tree, and therefore, they are not responsible to pay for it to be removed. Those are just a few examples of how we should live and share with our people, whether they are Rastafari people or not, they are our people, and the better we teat them, the more love they will have in their hearts for us.
Take the best care of yourself and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
