This statement is full of truth. Of course time and history can confirm these events. But there's a slant: The whole stement starts off with "The White people...."
I would not strain to make an example out of this statement usually; we all know, unlss we are totally ignorant, that there have been good and bad people in every part of the human family tree. But according to the main points of this reasoning, I am neither inclined to pay undue deference to eldership in the face of inaccuracy.
So to say "the White people" makes no distinction between classes and stratums of white people. Just like saying "the Sodomites" just paints a depiction of a people from a place that needed to be utterly destoyed by god, so forth and so on.
The enslavers where indeed Europeans. Were all whites/europeans enslavers or even of the slaver mentality? Absolutely not, in fact nuff poor whites got their clocks cleaned by white elitists who really did not give a shit about them. and as it is today, divide and conquer, pit one against the other, and soon you have a game in which the power elitests screw everyone who is not up there with them. PLENTY OF WHITES were duped and pit against Africans to become overseers with the hope that they too would get a leg up....silly fools.
And so many many whites had more in common with africans present here in the west during those nightmarish times than they ever did with the White corporatists
I am not splitting hairs here or trying to be an apologist for whiteness. WHITENESS, the concept, is pure folly, and the so called whites have massive amount of work to do to correct some of their most undeniable xenophobic pathologies. On the other hand, people WHO ARE CALLED WHITE are people, some of whom were actually willing to fight and die for the abolition of slavery.
We can always check the Head ELder His Majesty who has said:

Generalized? yes, but the statement is general towards the equality and unity of all humanity's role in this thing called lifeThe point is to say that by commiting our language to sweeping generalizations ie. "the White people" demonises in this conversation all who may fit into that visual description, particularly (talking about negative influences on the youth) in the untrained minds of children.
His Majesty, who my children look up to did not do that EVER in his speech that I know of so, to me and MY CHILDREN, this manner of word sound or writing is simply unacceptable. I have white, black, and native american relatives who love and are loved by my youths. If I were to use such generalizations around them, it would surely confuse or at least breed doubts in their mind about the love of ones in their own family
Remenber the occasion within this very thread of accusing 360 of being an traitor and how the elder dissuaded that type of loose banter. Similarly, when I and I use generalizations instead of specifics ESPECIALLY in the assessment of heinous criminal acts, it can cause real serious cases of misanthropy and woefully irreconcilable divisions even at such a time when the opportunity is there for learning and progress from the past to make the necessary changes to become the "new race"
please forgive me if it sounds as though I am dictating or trying to diss the elder Marcus. No, it is precisely because I see the elder as such a CRUCIAL VALUE to the community that I am thankful to be able to take this important and extensive reasoning to him/them from the depths of I heart
