Oh same here G, I don't usually bother with that kind of stuff. Blessup yourself bredren.
This has been an interesting thread no matter how many times this has been raised as an issue, and I was going to comment but stopped short when the reasoning didn't 'feel right', even before I read karibkween's caution. I have no idea who she was referring to and I usually have nuff respect for 360's posts. But I did take note of the tone you rightly pointed out, and then I just don't recall InI reasoning with one another here, let alone with Baba, talkin about "cultural paradigm from whence science is employed"... it just sounded contrived to me. Especially for such a personally charged issue. ...But I do take back any implied accusation; that probably wasn't fair or grounded.
Love & respect for Baba Ras Marcus, but I can not agree with him on this one. I can not support hatred or oppression. I am not saying that Ras Marcus is preaching hatred here, however, I do think that believing that homosexual people are unnatural, unGodly and are bad people because of their sexual orientation allows some people to treat those they believe to be homosexuals as less-than-human, and to commit acts of violence and oppression on those people based on that perceived subhuman status. I ain't down with that.
(And also re your comment above about child molestation-- from what i understand the primary sexual orientation of pedophiles is to children. Theirs is not a same-sex or opposite-sex attraction but more like a pre-sex -i.e. pre-pubescent- attraction.)
