Who Did Stand Up For African People?
Who did stand up for African people?
When they were grabbed and placed in chains
Who did stand up for African people?
When they were forced to change their namesWho did stand up for African people?
When they were shackled on slave ships
Who did stand up for African people?
When they were brutalized with whipsWho did stand up for African people?
Who were robbed away from their homes
Who did stand up for African people?
When they were scattered abroad to roamWho did stand up for those Africans?
Who remained strong with their Roots
Who did stand up for those Africans? Who were gunned down for the truthWho did stand up for those Africans?
Who resisted and escaped
Who did stand up for those Africans?
Who were brutalized and rapedWho stood up for Kunta Kinte?
When he got his foot chopped off
Who stood up for Kunta Kinte?
While the white slave masters laughedWe have to stand up for o9urselves
To break captivity
So we must find some blessed ways
To live in Unity. It is only we as African liberators everywhere, can stand up for our rights as we live from day to day, from generation to generation.
Baba Ras Marcus July 4th 2010.
Take the best care of yourself and your people,
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
Baba Ras Marcus.
