Greetings Simon !
May I ask you what race you would be considered to be by the establishment?

I ask because it is usually white people who defend their presence in the Rastafari Movement.

Also, not all people who identify with Rastafari sight Haile Selassie as God. In my opinion, we dont have to look at some utterances of H.I.M to determine what is best for our people and our community.

Does His Majesty have a speech for every situation that black people face in Babylon? If not, what do we do then? Where would the guidance come from? I would say that we use our internal faculties, common sense, and knowledge and wisdom to discern what InI should do.

Personally I think it is a COP OUT to try to use His Majesty's words to justify white people interfering in black people's business.

Rastafari is Reality. Therefore I think that we should deal with reality instead of feel good notions of equality in Babylon.

If you are white, talk to your people about what yall can do to bring about justice just as we do as black people on this forum.

It amazes me how whites get an attitude when we say we want to be left alone to solve our own problems.

If whites are asked to assist, that is different.

But if not asked, then they should mind their own business.

And for the record, if Rasta is from creation, why do we seem to limit it to JA, 1930, and Qedamawi Haile Selassie?
