***SIMPLE QUESTIONS:

does technology, for good, bad or ugly, HELP or HINDER our communion with natural livity?***

It depends, agriculture is 'technology', technology is not just the computer/mechanical things of today. I have to agree that it is about the mindset of the implementors. At this point, what is labelled as technology in the Western construct doesn't serve the betterment of mankind and/or greater nature because the main usage is for control and profit via planned obsolescence...

But we have a myriad of examples of indigenous societies that have implimented technologies that do no harm to nature, and actually have a symbiotic/mutualistic relationships/functions with nature, while working for the benefit of the masses.

It is because the mentality and purpose for which these technologies were created come from a balanced culture not intent on profit and dominion over nature. Not all of man's technology is or has to be parasitic. It's just that that is all we see in the current paradigm, because that is the current socio-cultural construct and ideology guiding the purpose and usage of technology.

***does politics, for good, bad or ugly, HELP or HINDER our communion with natural livity?***

Like above, it depends on the mentality and then usage/implemetations.

Via your questions above, are you coming from the premise that indigenous societies had no technology/politics?

A pencil can be used in one person's hand as a shank, yet in another's to write poetry.
