In Response To: Re: go figure, rastas FOR technology and politrick (three_sixty)

there is always "good news" and "wonderful results" within the implementations.

Take the great works by the Shriners. Shriners are masons. Masons have people in ALL areas of control. So either they are involved in the controlling or they are powerless. How could a secret collusion of power brokers be powerless???

Look at the advances of modern medicine, yet look at the new diseases and resistant forms of bacteria.

But there is ALWAYS a price to pay. To gain the wonderful benefits of the internet, all you have to do is give up your privacy and anonymity, that's it.

You just have to be a "number" in the grid and the world (wide web) is yours.

Question is, doesn't privacy have any value anymore? Not to the next generation. They are being fascistly conditioned with "why do you need it if you have nothing to hide"?

"In late 2007, a tracking tool called "Beacon" caught users off-guard by broadcasting information about their shopping habits and activities at other Web sites. After initially defending the practice, Facebook ultimately allowed users to turn Beacon off. A redesign of the site last year also prompted thousands to protest, but in that case Facebook kept its new look."
