I think that this article makes some very important points despite the fact that i strongly disagree with the author's statement that evolutionary doctrine does not clash with religious faith.
Contrary to popular belief or Judeo Christian religious faith, life on planet earth was not created in seven days, or all life forms at once. Nor was Adam and Eve the first persons on the earth as told in the biblical creation myth. An understanding of biological life, including human beings can only happen through examining evolutionary history. Through this we can understand the interconnectivity of biological life, the diversity both between and within species and the present physical biological forms that inhabit the earth.
Evolutionary history is an important part of history in that it explains the diversity yet unity of the human species and by extension all biological life. The physical forms of human beings including different racial groups can be explained by this history as well.
