It is just amazing concerning the many oceans of silence which are flowing around on this topic, of how the so called Maroons, who betrayed their own African people, by returning them to the slave plantations, whenever they escaped, seeking to be rescued by their own people, they were taken back for some rewards from the slave masters. This is widely written about in so many history books which are related to the lives of the so called Maroon people.

The so called Maroons were widely praised for being great warriors for fighting many years of irregular warfare against the British soldiers, until they had to sign a peace treaty, but then came the betrayal after the peace treaty was signed, and that we do think need to be revisted and be debated. They took this job from the slave masters to resist all slave uprisings in the Island of Jamaica, which they did by resisting Tacky's rebellion,in the year 1750, Sam Sharpe's rebellion in the year 1832, and the Morant Bay rebellion in the year1865, and many others, by fighting on the side of the slave masters, and causing the lives of many thousands of their own African people.

The rewards which they get for doing this, was that they were allowed to live on 15,000 acres of land by themselves, except for the two slave masters who had to live among them to watch over them, according to the agreement which they signed in the peace treaty. Hundreds of years have passed since this situation took place, so, do you historians think we should just leave it under the carpet of history, or should we remove the carpet and expose it all for the upliftment of the following generations of African people everywhere?

We are suggesting that the following generations of African people everywhere, should reject and despise the name Maroons since it is so badly stained with the wicked practice of betrayal, against their own African people, we have forgiven them, for their deeds of betrayal, but all we are asking them to do, is to despise and reject the name Maroons, which is not an original African tribal name, and since it is so stained with the practice of betrayal, just take on their own original tribal name of Coromantees, which was the name they had, before they kidnapped away from the Gold Coast to Spain, as early as the year 1441 or before. The name British gold coast was changed to Ghana,and the name Rodeshia was changed to Zimbabwe. Is that too much to asked while they are being offered full forgiveness?
