I see no reason not to believe that we are in a shifting cycle and the earth is changing - and that every shift has it's shares of cataclysms that we can interpret through a moralistic lens.
I'd just be careful with your judgments(remember they are yours - you are projecting that onto what you see) - because the reality on the ground is that the people dying and suffering the most are the already suffering. Justice - in the human sense - is most definitely not being served if we look at the percentages of the oppressed vs. the oppressor as the climate shifts. And indeed the oppressor is gaming the situation to profit and reshape the world.
