Apparently prejudice against Blacks is rife in East Asia. I'm not saying all East Asians think this way (just as not all Europeans do) but Black people have have been referred to as "Black devils" in China. Also, a friend of mine who lives in Bangkok told me that Black people are feared and looked down upon in Thailand. Even the darker skinned of the Thais use skin-lightening products, and most Thai celebrities and media people are light-skinned or part-European. A similar situation exists in India.
