If not Gaddafi, Sr. then Gaddafi, Jr.; someone decided that the nations of the West were the preferred economic alliance compared to those of the East; and that alone suggests that Gaddafi's words about African unity were disingenuous: What's wrong with Asian investment standards? Most of other African nations are looking to the East for investment partners, including Arab lead, African nations; they (the Asians) appear to be much better at economics (at least more ethical) than the semitic standards adopted by the West. It's always about the money, and resources when we're speaking about the prodigal West.
Maybe the Gaddafi clan realized, too late, they had entered into a pact with the Devil and tried to cut their losses, but are realizing now that its never wise to dance with the Devil. How does the leader of an Arab-Islamic people entrust the next generations' economic future to a bunch of Jews?
