Rastafari Speaks

Africans Must Be Restored To Mama Africa
In Response To: Words Of Roy Augier In Gleaner ()

The teachings and agitations of the Rastafari People at home and abroad, was and still is in defence of Mama Africa and her people everywhere. As early as 1435 are there about, the continent of Mama Africa was invaded by the Portuguese, who disrupted the natural life and living conditions of African people, and after putting them in shackles, brutalized them across the middle passage, to the slave plantations of the Western world, starting with Spain and Portugal.

All of this was taking place even before the criminal invader Christopher Columbus was born, in agreement with the Roman Catholic Church, who permitted their Pope of Rome to divide the earth into two parts, on a map which they made, giving the Eastern part of the earth to Portugal, and thw Western part to Spain, because they were both Catholic countries. That was indeed a dirty piece of plundering indeed.

So, this kind of invasion continued from then on, and was multiplied across Mama Africa as they made it into a regular slave trading business, which eventually spread to involved sll the European Nations, upon the face of this earth. From that time up until this time, African people have been shackled and enslaved in these lands of captivity, and have not been recompensed for the acts of human bondage, which were and are still being committed against them, from generation to generation.

When Marcus Garvey talk about Africa for Africans those at home and those abroad, he was sounding the great trumpit for Repatriation not for migration. In the minds of Rastafari people, their is a difference between migration and repatriation. Migration means to buy a plane or ship ticket, and go to some place to live whether it be your original home land of not, but Repatriation is about being redeemed from slave trading activities, and being Recompenced for wrongs, which were committed against several generations of African people, at home in Mama Africa, as well as in the lands of captivity, where Aficans were abadoned in the Western Hemisphere.

So, Rastafari people will continue to focus and agitate for Repatriation, Restoration to our land and home in Mama Africa, and Compensation for the crimes and other criminal activities, which were committed against Mama Africa and her people, more than five hundred years ago. I shall return to this subject but for right now, take the best care of yourselves and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
Baba Ras Marcus.
