On Saturday the 12th of June the remains of Ras Iyapert(Rupert) was put into the ground After a large gathering of his family and associates from a wide cross section of the world, paid their respect to his good attitudes and his works which he manifested while he was still wlaking and talking upon this earth. He was given an African drum salute at the funeral home as well as another drum salute at the grave site, in the Fairlawn Cemetary, at Fairlawn, New Jersey.
There was one Rastafari Iyagel who trod from Georgia, who had abooklet with poems which was written by Ras Iyapert and which was given to him eighteen years ago, so said, but I trhink it was given to him more than 18 years ago based on facts of which I am aware, any way he asked permission to be allowed to read the poem and was granted permission on the 11th at what they called the wake and he was very pleased that he was able toread some of those poems qhich were written by Ras Iyapert.
Ras Iyapert was 65 years of age, he saw his first Sunrise on the 5th of March 1945, and sawhis last Sunset on the 5th of June 2010.While his daughter was rubbing his hand to comfort him, he suddenly took threedeep breath and then his spirit flied away into the atmosphere, leaving his remains behind, which was later taken care of and buried in the ground.
I did promise to get hispicture up on this site, but I am having technical difficulties in posting then, but as soon as I over come those difficulties they shall be posted. I also have a picture of Ras Historian which I would like to post since Ras Iyapert and Ras Historian used to work together about 25 years ago. Take the best care of yourself and your people.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere.
ONE BLACK HEART ONE BLACK LOVE.
Baba Ras Marcus.
