Re: What Good Fruits Did The Mission To Africa Bea

Jah willing Baba, I will forward to Ithiopia in June or July. I am hoping to travel by road - but have been told by many that the highway from Kenya to Ithiopia is not safe. I have been blessed to "meet" online several idren who have made resettled in Ithiopia from the States - but they are in Addis and not Shashamane. The beauty of Mama Africa is astounding - truly has the potential to be Black Man's Paradise - but nuff work to be done.

The work that I do Baba, is mainly communications and HIV prevention, and what I have seen on the ground has both inspired me and troubled me. Have met sistren living positive w/ HIV for over 20 yrs and still strong! But more of wat you see if young African empresses selling them bodies and putting themselves at risk for maybe a thousand shillings ($13) - and on the banks of Lake Victoria, it is frightening! Place like Homa Bay and Kisumu, men do the fishing and the only way that they will sell the fish to the women to re-sell in the market, is if the woman will sleep with them - and this is serious daily occurrence; and the prevalence rate in this area is the highest in Kenya - beautiful African brothers and sisters are falling prey to this disease, because of the downpression of women. Serious thing - but for the most part our people maintain their dignity even in the most challenging situations. From the short time I have been home - I have observed that Africans face many of the same challenges at home and abroad - and collective security is the only solution to sustaining the upliftment of the race.
As I have said before Baba, your teachment has been an inspiration to I, ever since I was blessed to open that Rastafari Elders LP back in 93 or 1994, and once I heard the I's voice and wordsoud - I have been on a journey to gain wisdom and overstanding. Blessed Love for the guidance and encouragement Baba.
