Depends what you mean when you say god.Depends on how you see a personality form/expression of 'God' eg,Jesus,Buddha,Haile Selassie.
If you are saying that your god is better than anothers then you are not in alignment with Selassie teachings because he spoke in specifity on these things.
If you knew Christ was black and that god is not some force separate from yourself or in the sky then would it really matter greatly???
When religious doctrines disempower people then that is the problem.
If you think it is merely the personal figure you have chosen that empowers people then I cant say I personally agree because what if someone knew nothing of Selassie other than his name...how could there be any meaning???
Thats why people study the teachings of HIM and the Rastafari 'philosophy',livity because it gives context(Itext)to the MEANING.So it is all about meaning...whoever you chose as your god or leader is your own choice.
