I too wonder what, from a bunch of dried bones, suggests a hairy exterior. I'm also waiting to understand what a large cranium has to do with intelligence? It was also suggested that the female Ardi had already 'reasoned' that her offspring stood a better chance of survival if she selected a male with smaller canines, as smaller canines = less aggression; less aggression = better provider/father. Isn't this the stuff which supposedly makes humans, human?
Maybe its my attraction to 'neat little heads' or the fact that in my encounters I have not found those who inhabit the beautiful 'little heads' to be any less intelligent; and that's why I keep coming back to these archaeologist's fascination with brow ridges and big heads.
